Formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 2009, Extremely Rotten emerged from the state’s slam and brutal death metal underground. The early material established a blunt-force slam foundation on the full-length Grotesque Acts of Humanity, released by Show No Mercy Records in 2013, and the Zombification of the Masses EP, released by Gore House Productions in 2014.

Extremely Rotten built its name through extensive touring across the United States. Highlights include Vader’s 2013 Back to the Black U.S. tour and appearances at Las Vegas Deathfest, Gutfest, Chicago Domination Fest, Gored in the Heart of Texas, Mutilated Fest, SlamDakota Death Fest, and Bogotá Grind Fest in Colombia.

Extremely Rotten currently consists of Juan Pablo on drums, Bill Martin on guitar, and Nelson Zapata on bass and vocals. The newer material, represented by the 2024 single Perverse Trials of the Inhumane, retains the slam roots while moving deeper into dissonant brutal death metal. A new full-length is fully written, with recording set to begin soon and release planned for 2027.
